Our Programs

Life Steps

Our Life Steps program is a way for us to build an ongoing relationship with our clients, offering counseling and education that will empower them to make positive changes and choices for their future.

After coming to our center for a pregnancy test, and making a decision to parent her child, a client becomes eligible to participate in the Life Steps program. She is eligible to come for two Life Steps visits each month, throughout her pregnancy and for up to one year after her baby is born.

During her visit, a client has an opportunity to complete a lesson from a wide range of topics in our curriculum. These interactive, informative lessons often come in the form of dvd’s and worksheets that she will view and complete with one of our client advocates. She is also encouraged to bring the baby’s father to these lessons, so that he can join in the learning and growing process, and so that she will earn additional items in her visit.

By completing a lesson during her visit, a client earns “boutique bucks” to be used to “purchase” items in our baby boutique. She can get material supplies such as diapers, wipes, and clothes (maternity or baby) to help her with her baby or pregnancy. So through this program, we are able to help her in a practical way, but more important will be the information she learns that will impact her life and her future. The Life Steps curriculum offers a diverse menu of lessons with topics such as:

  • Prenatal care
  • Infant care
  • Breastfeeding
  • Parenting and discipline
  • Household management
  • Personal finances
  • Spiritual development

All of the items in our Life Steps boutique (where the client gets her material supplies), are obtained through the generous donations of supporters in our community. If you would like to make a donation to our boutique, check out our Ways to Give page for current needs.

Forgiven and Set Free

For clients and women in our community who have experienced the pain of abortion, this ten week Bible study helps them find healing and freedom in Christ.

Learn More

Although it is at the heart of the ministry that women would not choose abortion, we recognize that many who come to our center and live in our community have already made that choice at some point in their lives. And as much as those facing a crisis pregnancy need our compassion and help, so do the women who have had abortions. So we offer Forgiven and Set Free, our post-abortion program. Available to clients and any woman in our community, Forgiven and Set Free is a 10-week Bible Study that offers hope and healing in Christ for those who have had abortions.

Whether the abortion was two months ago, or twenty years ago, through this program, women are able to finally find forgiveness and release from the shame and burden that has shackled them since having their abortion. Held in a small, intimate and confidential group setting of other post-abortive women, women are led through the weekly study by our volunteer group leader. At the end of the ten weeks, a special memorial service is held by the group to honor the lives of the babies they had carried. And most importantly, the women who attend leave the study with a new found freedom and healing.

If you or someone you know would like to learn more about our post-abortion program, please contact our Client Services Director, Jamie Rogers at 863-683-2341 or jamier@supportawc.com.
